Celebrating 10 years of our Interventions in Aging Conference Series

We are delighted to be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of our 'Interventions in Aging' conference series this October in Malta. A key part of this series success is the wonderful Linda Partridge (University College London) who has chaired all 5 meetings since 2015! As Conference Chair, Linda has played an integral part in the planning and execution of all meetings,welcomed delegates from around the world and ultimately enabled collaborations to futhur research in the aging research comunity. We asked Linda;

When you think back to the very first Aging Conference you chaired in Mexico in 2015, what stands out the most?
The way that these meetings encourage real discussion between participants. The number of attendees and the style of the programme mean that it is possible to speak with everyone at the meeting. And Fusion meetings are very well organised and go to nice places.

How has the field of aging research evolved over the past decade, and how has the conference series reflected this?
The fast pace of discovery in aging research means that there is a challenge to keep up but also that new topics and new faces appear at each meeting. It is very stimulating!

What advice would you give to younger researchers just joining the field?
You are joining a vibrant and collegiate research community. Nurture and expand your network, think about the research questions that are really important, and then focus on addressing them.

If you had to describe the Aging Conference in just three words, what would they be?
Exciting, collegiate, timely
